Compiled and edited by Basil Ward Moore. Drawings and Paintings by Lloyd Ostendorf. Mayhaven Publishing, Mahomet, Illinois, 1991. Hard cover, 83 pages, index, and superb illustrations. Excellent. Basil Ward Moore has studied and spoken about Abraham Lincoln for over forty years. His admirers are legend. The artistry of his work can best be described by one who graced his audience. This is no dry as dust historical resume...Basil Moore...is a man of innate charm, with a twinkle in his eye, an appreciation of the sly humor of Abe Lincoln, but at the same time is deadly serious in his skillful use of yarns...to convey a faultless image of the 16th President as a human being.
