Victorian German Silver Chainmail Mesh Purse Expansion Gate Top
This antique Victorian chain mail mesh purse isn't marked anywhere that I can find, so it's presumably German silver, a nickel alloy. It has an expansion or gate style top closure with a lovely Art Nouveau design incised on the top. It's 6 inches long from the opening to the center bottom with the chain handle adding another 6 inches to the overall length. Width across the bottom of the purse is 4-3/4 inches. Three metal beads dangle from the scallops at the bottom, it appears one may be missing from one end. The chain body has become detached from the expansion top in a couple of places, it looks like there are some missing chains where they connect. I've left cleaning and or polishing up to the buyer.
This 1960s Mantessa brand handbag purse was made in Japan. The exterior is crocheted beige raffia straw, decorated with two rows of semi-circle scallops at the bottom in root beer colored amber faceted oval plastic beads. The hinged swing handle is clear Lucite with root beer sides. The interior is lined in ribbed linen-like fabric with a zippered side pocket. There are four brass feet on the underside. The cloth label reads Mantessa Hand Made in Japan with a gold crown logo. The purse is in clean, gently used condition. Some of the raffia fiber threads along the upper frame have some contact wear, but nothing is coming undone. Measurements: 11-1/4 widest part of center, 10 wide across the bottom, 7 wide across the top frame, about 3 deep front to back, 11 inches high to top of handle.
California Pottery Weil Ware Lady With Heart Flower Holder Vase
This ceramic lady vase or flower holder figurine was made in the 1940s by Max Weil's California Figurine Co. She's 6-3/4 inches high, wearing a long flowered dress. Her flowered blue hat coordinates with the blue heart planter box held in her arms, where there is an opening for flowers. She could also be used to hold used razors or coins. The back has an embossed label reading California Figurine with the initials MWC for Max Weil Company. There is some crazing, no chips, flakes, or damage.
Set 8 Individual Bunny Rabbit Easter Gelatin Or Cake Molds
Mid Century aluminum kitchen molds with embossed bunnies on the tops, set of eight. They can be used for individual cakes or tarts, gelatin, or even candy. Perfect for Easter. Each is 3-1/4 inches diameter by about an inch deep. They're in good, clean, used condition (the molds were washed by hand after the photos were taken). One has a small ding on rim just below the rabbit's front paw, others have typical minor marks from use and storage.
Magnalite Wagner Ware Covered Aluminum Oval Roaster Pan
A vintage 8-quart oval roasting pan with lid, number 4265P in the aluminum Magnalite line by Wagner Ware of Sydney Ohio. It measures 15-3/4 inches handle to handle, 12-5/8 interior length, 10 inches wide across the rim, and 4-5/8 high to rim (measured without the lid). The aluminum is polished to a high shine on the outside. The inside is clean with some light surface pitting and a dark water ring around the lower third of the pot. This is usually caused by acidic foods such as tomato sauce and is not harmful. No baking residue, grease, or food stains - you can rinse out and use for cooking immediately. There are some very slight, minor marks to the polished exterior from normal use and storage. The bottom is flat and level with no warping or rocking. Marked Wagner Ware Sydney -O- Magnalite 4265 P.
This ceramic cookie jar was made by Hallmark. It's in the shape of a snow covered log cabin. Each of the four sides is different: a snow-covered pine tree, a shuttered window, window and tree at the back, and door and window at the front. It measures 8-1/2 inches high to the top of the chimney, the base is 5 by 6 inches. The original owner tried to write something in black marker on the bottom, leaving some black marks on the unglazed outer edge of the underside as shown. It can't be seen until you turn the jar upside down. Probably marketed as a Christmas item but it's not specifically Christmas related - you can use it year round.
California Originals 1940s Yellow Bear In Necktie Cookie Jar
You may have seen the California Originals dressed up bear cookie jar in a 1970s matte woodgrain brown finish. This cold painted bright school bus or mustard yellow bear jar is the exact same mold but obviously much earlier. The company originally started out in 1946 under a different name and began making cookie jars a couple of years later under the California Originals name. The cookie jar stands 11-1/2 inches high. The bear has a tuft of hair on his head, big cartoon-style eyes, and wears a collared bolero style jacket with red and white striped necktie. There is some typical wear to the cold red and black paint as shown, but no damage or crazing. There are no marks that I could find, but unless they bought the mold from another company, it has to be one of the first California Originals cookie jars.
Mckee Flamex S And R Floral Embossed Rectangular Baking Dish
This Flamex oven glass rectangular baking dish or casserole was made by McKee in the 1940s. The raised flower and leaves decoration on outside was called SR or S and R, presumably for Sears Roebuck where the oven ware was sold. The baker measures 14 inches handle to handle by 8-1/2 by 2-1/2 deep. The edges of the glass have a slightly yellow tint, a result of the glass making formula. The dish has no chips or damage and is in good used condition. Marked S R Ovenware on the bottom.
Imperial Pink Tree Of Life Rolled Rim Console Bowl
Produced by Imperial Glass Company from the mid 1920s to 1930, this elegant Depression era pink rolled edge console bowl is in the Tree of Life pattern. It's sometimes incorrectly called Soda Gold, which refers to the earlier Carnival glass version of this pattern. The bowl is about 10-1/2 inches diameter by 2-3/4 high. The center opening is about 5-3/4 at the top by 2 inches deep. It's in excellent condition with no scratches, nicks, damage, or cloudiness.
3 Premier Unsilvered Wwii Glass Grape Cluster Christmas War Ornaments
These 1940s glass Christmas ornaments were made by Premier Glass Works. They're in the shape of grape clusters, which alone would make them scarce from an American manufacturer, but they are also unsilvered war ornaments - made during World War II when rationing and shortages of silver nitrate forced ornament manufacturers to use painted, sprayed or flashed transparent colors. The grapes are 2-1/2 inches tall. There is one each in red, blue, and green - the only colors made in this shape. The finish is excellent on all three with no scratches and deep, even coloring. They have the unmarked but distinctive Premier metal caps. These ornaments are hard to find.
1920s Putz Cotton Batting Child On Sled Christmas Ornament
An excellent circa 1920s cotton and composition child on sled ornament or figure for your Christmas putz display. These cotton batting figures are sometimes called snowbabies. The sledder is wearing a real spun cotton snowsuit and has a well-molded and hand painted bisque clay face. She's sitting on a cardboard sled painted flat white and dusted with clear crushed glass glitter flakes. One side of the sled is decorated with foil holly leaves and two lacquered red composition berries. Measurements: 3-1/2 inches high, 3-1/4 inches long, 1-3/8 wide. The bottom of the sled is marked Made In Japan. There is some paint loss to the bottoms of the sled runners, typical light age discoloration to the white cotton, and a little smudge near the child's nose.
2 Japan Beaded Caged Ball Mercury Glass Christmas Ornaments
A pair of small vintage beaded ornaments from Japan, about 2 inches high. Miniature mercury glass blue and green ornaments are surrounded in a wired cage of tiny gold or silver beads with slightly larger red beads at the bottoms and tops. There is silvering loss to the wired small beads and some wear to the finish of the red beads, otherwise the ornaments are in good vintage condition with no chips or breaks.
Pink Chenille Clay Face Santa On Pinecone Christmas Ornament
This charming old Japan Christmas ornament is a chenille Santa Claus figure sitting on top of a red pine cone. Santa's face is molded composition clay with hand painted features, his suit and hat are pink chenille with white chenille pipe cleaner trim. He holds a green chenille tree and has a real cotton beard. The ornament is about 4-3/4 inches high not including the wire hanger. Santa's face has some crazing, otherwise the ornament is in excellent condition, the pinecone has no damage.
Indent Wire Wrapped Christmas Ornament Virgin Mary Scrap
Gorgeous, dramatic German wire-wrapped glass Christmas ornament with an embossed scrap Madonna Virgin Mary attached to the long glass pike. The ornament is a little over 5 inches high. The base is a blown silver ball with a row of seven deep ribbed indents around the center. The scrap Mary figure floats above a cloud of spun glass angel hair at the top of the silver indented orb. Fine gauge gold crinkled wire is wrapped from top to bottom all the way around. The metal cap isn't marked but the ornament was made in Germany in the mid 1990s. In excellent condition with no damage or broken wires. A stunning ornament, much prettier in person.
Fitz And Floyd 1976 Santa Claus Christmas Planter Vase
A cute Fitz and Floyd ceramic Santa vase or planter to fill with candy canes or greenery at Christmas time. Santa is blowing a gold tuba or French horn with the bell curled behind him. It's just under 4 inches high There are two tiny white paint skips on the holly leaves of Santa's hat plus a pinpoint scratch to the red hat paint, otherwise excellent condition with no damage. All other white spots are from glare. Paper labels on the bottom say Hand Painted and Fitz And Floyd Inc. MCMLXXVI.
