Cute little figural Made in Occupied Japan. Could be an ash tray, but more likely a pin or coin tray. A little doggie at a hydrant. I think he is a bulldog from his size and shape of his face. He is about 3" long and a couple of inches high. Perfect condition, no cracks or chips, paint and glaze still very good. Painted on both front and back, and marked Occupied Japan (black)

Very pretty set of 4 demitasse cups and saucers in a WILD ROSE type of pattern with brick red background and gold rims. Stamped with the GOLDCASTLE made in Japan mark on the bottom of each piece, dates this set to the early to mid 50's. There are a few mold imperfections here and there as is often the case with porcelain and china from Japan of this period, but there are no cracks or chips. There is no chip in the rim of the cup as shown in the photos, it is just the light reflecting off the edge.
