Good heavy piece of vintage Hotel Silverplate from the most famous of them all, THE WALDORF ASTORIA. I believe this to be an olive or radish tray. It measures 8 1/2 x 4 at the widest part. Rear is fully marked THE WALDORF ASTORIA, INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO. #05038 8 1/2 IN (67). Lovely soft patina from having served at so many tables over the years. It has a bit of a deco look to it so it may be from the 20's or 30's. We generally ship to domestic customers by USPS Priority Mail, so buyer will add $3.95 plus any applicable insurance.

Unusual silver plate basket made in a twisted rope design holds a very deep cobalt/purple glass bowl as it's liner. Basket stands on 3 ball feet and still retains nearly all of it's plating. It is marked simply "made in England" on the underside of the handle. The basket is 4 1/4 " wide and stands 5" to top of handle making it a perfect size for passing after dinner mints or nonpareils. These is one small rough spot on the inside of the basket, that's it.
