| Very unusual pink plastic vanity set consisting of a powder box with lid, two miniature perfume bottles with stoppers,and a pair of pink floral pins. The pink flowers which look like orchids form the powder box handle, the stoppers for the two perfumes, and of course the pins. Set is in great condition..no chips or breaks, even to the delicate points on the flowers, a couple tiny spots of paint loss, but that's it. The mini perfumes are the cutest, made to look like mercury glass with the stoppers having a tiny strip of rubber to keep them in place. Because of the size and design, the vanity items appear to be for a child and the pin set, perhaps for mom. Now for the interesting part...we were advised by the seller many years ago that this was a premium offered on the old Ma Perkins Radio Show...wether you sent in Oxydol tops or something else, we don't know. We can't prove this 100%, but we do know that this was common to do for the Ma Perkins program back then. |
