Lovely and unusual piece of useable majolica. Nice rich, earth colors with a slightly stippled effect in the glaze. The best part is the lid so your broth stays hot. The saucer is 5 1/2" and the cup 4". There is an indistinguishable impressed mark under glaze on the bottom we have yet to identify. All the pieces have age crazing. We have a second set if someone would like a pair. Email if interested. |
