Vintage Oddity Hand Made Taj Mahal Textile
With Mother’s Day just around the corner we have managed to locate a mighty fine vintage hand embroidered AND hand crocheted placemat or doily that says it all to Mom.
It is a little hard to pin a date on this little beauty because the Taj Mahal first became fashionable in Victorian England and has remained popular to the present day, but we would hazard a guess that she is between 60 and 90 years old and in very good condition with hardly any wear or loss of color to the silver threads.
Measuring approximately 14 inches wide by 11.5 inches tall, this fine example of vintage hand crafted items will tickle your fancy and put a smile on Deal Old Mom’s face.

Victorian Gossip Bench
The San Juan Lady who owns this beautiful old piece of furniture has been calling it a telephone bench for years until another friend pointed out that for as old as it is, they probably didn't even HAVE telephones back then. Oh. Well, this little sweetie has certainly seen a few Presidential Elections go by, and could use some TLC in tightening up the dowels, finishing the backside a little, and recovering the cushion with antique cloth. It even has the funky little brass castors you find on Victorian furniture.
All in all, this is a very, very nice piece.

Simple But Beautiful Antique Kerosene Lamp
If this were a dude, he'd have a long grey beard. Seeing as how he's glass, however, he has turned that beautiful purple color that only old, old glass displays.
The original chimney is gone, and the metal collar has a break, but otherwise it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or nicks in the glass.

Every Which-Way Cedar Box
Well, Auntie Kriso immediately appropriated this little cutie, but she says she'll give it up for the right person.
In the meantime, she has named it "Sybil" because she says if it were a person, she would have fractured personalities.
O-kay.
Moving right along, this is actually two boxes made out of the same branch, and is pretty remarkable.
The first box, which has a removable lid, measures approximately 6.75 inches long, 5 inches wide and 3.75 inches tall, and the second, smaller box with an inside drawer measures approximately 4 inches long, 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Combined, they measure approximately 10.75 inches long, 5 inches wide and 3.75 inches tall.
You won't find another one like it!
