Perfect Specimen of Opalized Colorized Wood Attention all you Rock Hounds, Jewelers and Lapidary Freaks out there.
Our little friend Jan, who has been collecting rocks and minerals for over 30 years is cutting loose of some of her finest fire opal mineral specimens, so we are proud to present to you a wonderful example of fossilized opalized colorized wood that stands up on end all on his own.
If you put this little puppy out in direct sunlight you can see that the glitter of the russet colored fire opal goes all the way through it.
Measuring approximately 1.25 inches in diameter by .75 inches tall, he weighs in at a respectable 23 grams.
Opal specimens are originally petrified wood, which then gradually turn into fire opal.
All of our rock specimens have not been in liquid and have been dried for over 2 years, during which period none of them cracked or flaked.
If you dabble in jewelry making, or know how to run rock cutters and polishers, you are just a step away from owning some unique and valuable stones to set in your rings, necklaces and bracelets.
We will ship this specimen wrapped up, placed in a small box and inserted in a padded envelope to be mailed by USPS First Class Mail at the cost of $1.00.
Please keep in mind that we never charge any handling fees, and are always more than happy to combine shipping costs on all our items.
