Gold Victorian Physicians Spectacles and Case
These spectacles have seen the worst, and the best, of mankind.
Tonight we are presenting a fascinating piece of Victoriana history in the form of 12K gold spectacles circa 1838 to 1900. Our high-class early eyeglasses are still enclosed in their original case, and are in very good condition with only slight scratching on the crystal lenses. The case could use some TLC, but it tends to lend to the rustic charm of these delightful specs.
The front measures approximately 4.25 inches from lens to lens, and the sidebars are approximately 5 inches long. One of the sidepieces is stamped with what is either 12 or T2, but there are no other distinguishing marks. Our collectible eyepieces are said to have belonged to a local doctor, but we have been unable to track down his name, as yet.
We always, always pack our items highly securely, and never charge any handling fees. Shipping in the Continental United States will be provided by USPS Priority Mail at the cost of $4.80, with mandatory shipping insurance an additional $1.70. Shipping on combined items is also available.
