Frankoma Potteries made this souvenir Free Form Ashtray especially for the Dodge City, Kansas centennial celebration in 1973. This Frankoma #466 Ashtray is made from Sapulpa clay and glazed front and back in White Sand, a thin white glaze with the pottery showing through. Frankoma Potteries did a beautiful job of depicting the Old Front Street with the famous ‘Long Branch Saloon’ situated between ‘Al’s General Store’ and ‘Guns’. If you look closely, you can even see the spaces between the boards of the boardwalk. FRANKOMA 466 is incised into the clay under the glaze. In mint condition - no production or post-production flaws or defects of any kind. A wonderful souvenir item, especially if you’re from, or have visited, Dodge City, Kansas.
