Antique Platter Dresden Hotel China
Antique Dresden Hotel China Serving Platter would be ideal to use if you ever have the need to furnish an "old-time kitchen" for display or tours. It is a very large, oval, heavy antique hotel china platter, weighing 3 1/2 lbs. without packaging. The deeply incised mark on the back is "DRESDEN HOTEL CHINA –WARRANTED". This mark was used ca. 1892 according to Kovel’s Dictionary of Marks. As you can see from the photo, this antique Dresden Hotel China Serving Platter has considerable aging and crazing, but I find it rather amazing that it shows no visible usage marks and has a very shiny, heavy glaze. The crazing seems like it is under the glaze as you cannot feel it – the platter feels smooth. There are no chips or cracks on the front of the platter and only a few tiny glaze nicks on the back. This Antique Dresden Hotel China Platter is still perfectly usable, but it would be so perfect for display in a country or rustic kitchen décor. Made in East Liverpool, Ohio by Potters Cooperative Co.
Circa: 1892
Size: 14 6/8” x 9 6/8”
Color: Antique White
Type: Platter
Country of Origin: US
Manufacturer: Potters Cooperative Co.

Vintage Oval Florence Platter or Serving Dish
Vintage Platter marked on the back "Florence" followed by what I believe is "C. Bro's.", but I have not been able to find any information on this company. This ivory Vintage Oval Florence Platter or oval dish is for those who enjoy the rustic look of items from the past. It is obviously very old and really shows its age with the discoloration and some crazing. This piece probably dates to the early 1900s or late 1800s. It has a slightly scalloped edge with an embossed design. There are no chips or cracks and only two tiny fleabite nicks on the underneath side of one of the tabs and only minor use marks. Excellent display item!

Size: 11 1/2” x 8 1/4” x 1 1/8” high

Vintage Serving Platter Knowles Taylor and Knowles
Very large, sturdy Vintage Knowles Taylor and Knowles Serving Platter. They just don’t make platters like this vintage Knowles Taylor and Knowles Serving Platter today! This platter is VERY large and will easily hold your Thanksgiving turkey. A floral border in blues, orange and green on a cream background is quite striking. The mark on the back is "K.T.&K., S----V, China, P.D.F.". According to Kovels’ Dictionary of Marks, this mark was used ca. 1925. This vintage platter is in excellent condition insofar as having no nicks, chips or cracks and only a few usage marks. It amazes me that on many of these better quality vintage platters that there are almost no visible usage marks – they must have used a better glaze in the early 1900s. This platter does have some glaze pops – this is a production occurrence and of no consequence. Two of the most noticeable glaze pops are shown in one of the additional photos. This vintage platter is heavily age crazed with a beautiful patchwork of crazing. The crazing seems like it is under the glaze as you cannot feel it – the platter feels smooth and it is so shiny. A wonderful vintage platter to enjoy using or simply superb for adding to a display.
Circa: 1925
Size: 15 7/8” x 11 1/2”
Color: Cream
