Antique Platter Dresden Hotel China
Antique Dresden Hotel China Serving Platter would be ideal to use if you ever have the need to furnish an "old-time kitchen" for display or tours. It is a very large, oval, heavy antique hotel china platter, weighing 3 1/2 lbs. without packaging. The deeply incised mark on the back is "DRESDEN HOTEL CHINA –WARRANTED". This mark was used ca. 1892 according to Kovel’s Dictionary of Marks. As you can see from the photo, this antique Dresden Hotel China Serving Platter has considerable aging and crazing, but I find it rather amazing that it shows no visible usage marks and has a very shiny, heavy glaze. The crazing seems like it is under the glaze as you cannot feel it – the platter feels smooth. There are no chips or cracks on the front of the platter and only a few tiny glaze nicks on the back. This Antique Dresden Hotel China Platter is still perfectly usable, but it would be so perfect for display in a country or rustic kitchen décor. Made in East Liverpool, Ohio by Potters Cooperative Co.
Circa: 1892
Size: 14 6/8” x 9 6/8”
Color: Antique White
Type: Platter
Country of Origin: US
Manufacturer: Potters Cooperative Co.

Hall Black Covered Casserole
Hall Black Covered Casserole. This Hall Casserole most likely made as a specialty item for a resort, country club or restaurant. Hall made various specialty items for companies and organizations and these items are highly sought after by collectors. The gold logo on this Hall Covered Casserole depicts a sailboat and a golfer. I acquired this in 1982 at an estate auction in central Missouri and possibly it was made for one of the many resorts and golf courses at the Lake of the Ozarks. The glossy black glaze on this Hall casserole is highlighted with gold trim around the edge of the dish, the edge of the lid and the knob. A beautiful satiny, glossy white on the interior is a nice contrast to the black. This Hall casserole probably dates to about 1935 as the black and gold combination was used that year for specialty items. The Hall green stamp is on the back and HALL is impressed into the clay. This covered casserole is in excellent condition insofar as having no nicks, chips or cracks. Much of the cold gold paint is still there. There are some surface scratches, mainly on the lid – not that noticeable except on close inspection.
Circa: 1935
Size: Length: 9 ½” long (rim to rim), Width: 5 ½”, Height: 1 ¾” high , 3 ½” high to top of the knob.

Knowles Taylor and Knowles Restaurant Bowl
Knowles, Taylor & Knowles produced this vintage restaurant ware small bowl in the 1920s, possibly called a cereal bowl. Although a fairly small bowl, it is VERY heavy, weighing 1 lb. 5 oz. without any packaging. The mark on the back is "K.T.&K., S----V, China, P.B.F.". According to Kovels’ Dictionary of Marks, this mark was used ca. 1925. This KT&K bowl is in excellent condition insofar as having no nicks, chips or cracks and almost no visible wear – just a faint line or two. It amazes me that on many of these heavy vintage restaurant ware items that there are almost no visible usage marks – they must have used a better glaze in the early 1900s. This KT&K bowl does have a few insignificant glaze bubbles in the center of the bowl. This Knowles Taylor & Knowles bowl is heavily, and I might add beautifully, age crazed. The bowl feels so smooth and is so shiny that it almost seems as if the crazing is under the glaze. Attractive footed style on this bowl, over 80 years old. A wonderful vintage bowl to enjoy using or adding to a display.

Vintage white restaurant ware bowl
This is a VERY heavy vintage footed white restaurant ware bowl, weighing 1 lb. 13 oz. without packaging. This white restaurant ware bowl is in wonderful condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. There are some spots of missing glaze on the interior center, but this appears to be a production incident rather than wear as there is only minimal wear to the bowl, other than wear and slight staining on the rim. Not sure what this bowl is called – it is too large for a cereal bowl and a bit tall for a vegetable bowl. There appears to be an imprinted mark on the bottom, possibly "V" for Victor, but difficult to see. Click on the thumbnail to see a close-up photograph. Nice old bowl to use or display.
Circa: 1920s-1930s
Size: Height: 3 3/8”, Top diameter: 6 5/8”, Bottom diameter: 3 3/8”
Color: White
Type: Bowl
