VEB Germany Feienorla Saucer
VEB Freienorla, Germany Saucer produced in the former East Germany in Feienorla a city in Thuringen, Germany. Saucer is marked "Freienorla, VEB, Germany". VEB stands for Volkseigner Betreib, which means it was a government owned company; namely, the Nationalized German Democratic Republic. This dates this VEB Freienorla Saucer to sometime between 1945 when Germany was divided into East and West and 1990, the reunification of East and West Germany. A gold design on white porcelain VEB saucer is quite striking. Much of the gold on the rim has faded but the gold design on the saucer is excellent. Other than just a very few surface scratches on the center of the saucer, there are no other defects – no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. Excellent for display, not to mention a piece of past history.
Circa: Post 1945
Size: Saucer diameter: 6 1/2” Height:: 1”
Type: Saucer
Country of Origin: DE
Manufacturer: VEB-Germany
