This is an old brooch or pin made of carved wood and apple juice bakelite. It is a swan and has paint on its bill, eye, head and foot. It's wing is made of bakelite (tested with Simichrome) and there is a scalloped design etched into the bakelite. The pin has a C clasp on the back.
