This is an antique Victorian or Edwardian brooch. It is made of brass and may have been washed with gold at one time. The brooch has a large glass amethyst in the center. The brooch has a C clasp and measures 2-3/8 inches wide and 1-3/4 inches tall. The glass amethyst has a chip on one corner which I tried to show in the pictures. The brooch could also use polishing.
