This is a unique antique sterling silver sugar shell or spoon. It appears to be handmade. I have been told it is possibly an old Gorham pattern. The only marks on the spoon are STERLING and D23. The sterling is hand stamped and the N was stamped backwards. The end of the spoon is a loop that twists back around the handle.

The spoon measures 5-1/4 inches long and the shell is 1-1/4 inches at the widest point. It weighs 17.7 grams.
