This is a Victorian gold tone chatelaine chain. On the clip is a bezel set black and white sardonyx cameo. The chatelaine is not marked. It appears to be gold plated over a non-metallic metal. The chatelaine has a heart at the end. The ends of the heart open so that items could be added. The cameo is bezel set and there is a tiny dent at the top end of the bezel. The clip measures 1-1/4 inches long. The chain and heart measure 17-1/4 inches long. It is in good condition with minor, if any, loss of gold tone. I have not cleaned or polished the chatelaine.
