This is a vintage sterling silver World War II Air Raid Patrol (ARP) badge. The badge is hallmarked with a lion passant, leopard's head and a C which dates to 1938 London, I believe. It also has a maker's mark of J C. The badge measures 1-1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It weighs 9.9 grams. I am not certain how the badge hooks on but it might fit into a buttonhole.
