This is a vintage bakelite brooch of a soldier. The brooch is not marked. The arms and legs of the soldier are jointed or connected by rings so that they dangle. The features on the soldier's face, the stripes on his sleeve, medals on his chest, stripe on his hat and black shoes are painted on. There are three brass buttons on his shirt. The brooch measures 3-3/8 inches long and 1-3/4 inches wide. The brooch has been tested with both Simichrome and Formula 409. There is one small slightly darker spot on his leg. I have not cleaned or polished the brooch. I didn't find the soldier but there is a similar jointed Navy boy brooch in Nancy Schiffer's book, Plastic Jewelry. I offer a 7-day money back guarantee. All methods of payment are accepted, however, checks must clear before shipping. Credit cards are accepted through PayPal. The buyer is responsible for shipping and handling costs and I am happy to combine costs for multiple purchases. Please let me know if you have any questions.
