Our vintage style Chilly Willy bank is created of the finest materials, paints and glazes. He has no "cold paint", and is completely scratch proof. Unlike many modern ceramic artists, we take no short cuts with our pieces, and the red in his hat is fired glaze, not enamel painted over the glaze which will chip over time.
Willy is standing on his iceberg waiting for your coins. He has a generous slot in his back that will accomodate quarters and a 1.25" round hole underneath for your rubber stopper or cork. The bank stands 9.5" tall. The back of the base is marked with the "Walter Lantz Productions" 1975 copyright marking. This piece is made from a previously unused "old stock" vintage mold for maximum detail.
Each bank is completely hand painted. This gives each piece an individuality and personality not found in most of today's "imported" mass-produced ceramic goods.
