Oleg Popov was the top clown with the Moscow State Circus. Known as the "Sunshine Clown," Popov's character was considered gentle and poetic. In 1955, he became the first Soviet clown to perform outside Russia. His stated goal is to "create joy, not laughter for it's own sake."
Our "Sunshine" Clown Cookie Jar is a memento to the great spirit of Popov, the joyous clown. This jar measures 10" tall and is very sturdy and heavy cast for durabililty.
