Manufacturer: StoryBook Ceramics The Luzianne Mammy is one of the most beautiful "sterotype" images of the Old South.
Our Luzianne Mammy Match Safe is wearing a lovely soft yellow shirt, green skirt and a cobalt striped head wrap with matching apron. She is carrying a pewter colored coffee pot, on a light colored tray with a steaming cup filled with coffee in a highly detailed flowered blue china cup.
This match safe is wall mounted and has a hole for hanging in the back. The box of kitchen matches is inserted in the back, and the strikers are accessible through the cut-outs in the sides.
The Mammy match safe measures a large 11.5" tall.
Each Mammy is completely hand painted. This gives each piece an individuality and personality not found in most of today's "imported" mass-produced ceramic goods.
