The California Pottery Classics line of StoryBook Ceramics seeks to recreate the vintage look of the popular 1950's and 60s west coast pottery. California Pottery was famous for lovely, rich matte and gloss brown glazes and carefully applied accenting cold paint.
Our Gingerbread Boy / Girl Turnabout is two jars in one! Glazed in a simply gorgeous "Maple Sugar" glaze, it looks good enough to eat even without being filled with cookies. The "turnabout" style of jar is perfect for kitchens with an island. They look great from every angle!
California Classics jars have cold paint (paint applied over the glaze) accenting. The brown gloss glaze is permanent.

If at any time in the future the cold paint should need to be touched up, we have used the foodsafe standard "Testors" brand enamel paints, so matching the colors is a snap. We want your jar to be beautiful for a lifetime.
