This is a second printing, printed in 1976. The first version of this book was entitled "Call Them Irreplaceable", and was also released in 1976. This book features 12 chapters, each one about a different show business giant! The 12 celebrities covered in this book are Al Jolson, Maurice Chevalier, Jimmy Durante, Noel Coward, Jack Benny, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Marlene Dietrich, Bob Hope, Judy Garland, Danny Kaye and Frank Sinatra. Each chapter opening page features a full page illustration of the celebrity by Hirschfeld, followed by a 2-page photo spread which spans the entire career, as well as a complete history of each celebrity! The gold dust jacket is in great condition, with only very minor corner wear, and one tiny 1/8" tear on the back cover. All pages are intact and in perfect condition! A great piece of Hollywood!

This beautiful children's book titled Famous Fairy Tales (1933), features amazing color illustrations by Watty Piper Eulalie and Lois Lenski. The book measures approx. 8 3/4" x 11 1/4" and was published by The Platt & Munk Co. Inc. of New York. This hardcover book was a library copy from the Grace Baptist Church Library of Westlake, OH, and despite being well-loved, is still in Good condition. The cover has some light staining and some wear along the cloth edges. The first and last few pages have tears and some staining, but the rest of the pages are in Very Good condition except for 2 pages that have some crayon work by some ambitious child. Despite these few flaws, the illustrations are quite amazing and you will be very happy about purchasing this book!
