DORSET REX Basketweave PICNIC BASKET HANDBAG in Gold
This beautifully unique item was made in the 1950s by the prestigious DORSET REX of 5th Ave., New York. This purse is unique because, not only is it a metallic basketweave, but it looks and acts like a small, purse-sized picnic basket. It features a double-hinged lid on top with double handles. The Dorset Rex label is intact inside. The interior is a peach satin lining with a mirror on the back of one lid, and a pocket for a compact on the back of the other lid. The bag measures 8" long x 3 1/2" high x 5" wide. Each hinged lid measures 4" x 5 1/4". There is some wear on the lining and handle (where the two handles rub together) as well as some light surface scratches, but there are no tears or breakage. HIP Metal BRASS HANDBAG Purse, Designer Signed
A UNIQUE HARD-SHELL BRASS HANDBAG. This beautiful accessory would look great for a night on the town, or for the holidays! The handbag is all brass with a black silkin cord handle, and is in fantastic condition! The brass body measures approximately 8" long x 4" high x 2 1/2" wide. It is a wedge shape, which means it's wider at the top, and narrower at the bottom. The brass has a slightly hammered look, and is decorated to look like alligator skin. The double strung silkin cord measures approximately 32" from end to end (so the bag hangs down approximately 16" from the shoulder). Along with "Mexico", there is a designer's signature impressed on the inside of the lid, but I can't make it out (see my close-up photo). Shipping is an additional $6.00 within the continental U.S.

BEAUTIFUL Red Leather BOX PURSE
A RED LEATHER BOX PURSE, in Excellent, Near Mint condition. It is not patent leather, but a nice quality leather w/all stitching in excellent condition. This bag appears to have been used very little, as there is only the most minor bit of wear on the bottom underside of the bag. It has a brass closure, and measures approximately 8 1/4" long x 4" tall x 3 1/4" deep. There are no manufacturers tags or labels. The actual color is a little bit deeper/darker than it appears in my photo. Shipping is an additional $5.00 within the continental U.S.
