A. Santini Roman Chariot Sculpture This Roman Chariot sculpture by Amilcare Santini, is signed: A.Santini and still has the original sticker on the bottom: Sculptor A Santini/Classic Figure/ Made in Italy. Amiloare Santini, was born in Italy, 1910, near the city of Florence in Tuscany. He became an apprentice to the sculptor Colombini at the age of twelve. He then traveled to Florence and attended the university there for four years. He was implemental of the process in combining marble, alabaster and resin. He passed away in 1975. Amilcare Santini was one of the finest sculptors of the period, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculptures than the Santini replicas from Italy. Roman chariot races were very popularity and gave pleasure to the Roman people, as you can see in the pictures Santini captured just that. The horses are in full stride with muscles tight from the run, the charioteer holding so tightly onto the reins to help his balance, every detail exquisitely done down to the ram head yoke between the horses.
In very good + condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites the sculpture itself measures 11 1/2 inches tall and 16 1/4 inches long while the base measures 14 1/4 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. A wonderful addition to any A. Santini Art Collection.

Austin 1991 Lady and Borzoi Dog Figurine This Art Deco sculpture of a Lady and Borzoi(Russian Wolfhound)Dog is marked: Austin Sculptors 1991 and signed by the artist. The signature I can't make out so I will have to leave that to the new owner. In an antique silver and black finish the statue is in used condition, with a flaw in her hair, rub marks in the paint finish and a small chip on the base, which I have tried to show in my pictures and priced accordingly. She measures 16 1/2 inches tall, 12 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide and would be a great addition to any Art Deco Decor, Dog or Austin Sculpture Collection.

Amiloare Santini, was born in Italy, 1910, near the city of Florence in Tuscany. He became an apprentice to the sculptor Colombini at the age of twelve. He then traveled to Florence and attended the university there for four years. He was implemental of the process in combining marble, alabaster and resin. He passed away in 1975. Amilcare Santini was one of the finest sculptors of the period, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculptures than the Santini replicas from Italy. This marble bust sculpture is supported by a genuine black carrara marble base to give it the elegance it deserves. In very good condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites, it's white in color on a grey and black marble base and measures 6 3/4 inches tall, 4 1/4 inches wide and 2 5/8 inches deep. I'm sorry but I don't know who this Roman stateman is, if anyone does I would appreciate an email. A wonderful addition to any A.Santini Art Collection.

Cast Metal Bird Sculpture This cast metal sculpture of 2 rust colored birds with green highlights on a tree branch is in very good condition. I believe that the green color was applied for contrast, having no makers mark it would make a lovely addition to any Bird Collection and it measures 6 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide.
