Wooden Ring Doll w/Cloth Cap-Germany This wooden Ring Doll is still in it's original package but the cardboard top has been torn off and all that is legible is the word Alemania (in Germany). From the 1950's the doll is made of wooden rings in bright colors of blue, green, orange, red and yellow with a red cloth cap and eyes and mouth drawn on in black and is from the 1950's. In new condition it measures 8 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. An addition to any Wooden Toy or Doll Collection.

Nippon Bisque Kewpie Doll Made in Japan This lovely little Kewpie Doll with blue wings, side glancing painted eyes, and closed smiling mouth with jointed arms is marked on the back: Nippon and on the bottom: Made in Japan.
In 1909, illustrator and artist Rose O’Neill had a dream about plump little creatures she called Kewpies, short for Cupid. Cupid gets you into trouble and the Kewpies get you out, explained O’Neill. The purpose of these creatures is to perform good deeds in a funny way. They were often seen battling injustice or promoting women's suffrage, and they always made the reader laugh. As the drawings became more familiar, O'Neill created Kewpie Kutouts. These paper dolls had both a front and a back side, and were accompanied by short stories. O’Neill next created comic pages, which were printed in several newspapers. The Kewpie doll was born in 1913 these first dolls had straight posture with their arms at their sides. They were made from bisque or china and celluloid. As the Kewpies grew in popularity, so did the different kinds, sizes and materials of the dolls. Kewpie dolls were made in different positions, and came with a variety of outfits and accessories. To cash in on this Kewpie Dolls market Japan and Germany began making them as well.
In very good + condition without chips, cracks or fleabites her ruddy complexion does show dirt marks, which I have shown in my pictures, that I will leave to the new owner to clean and it measures 4 1/2 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. Rhinestone Doll by Mattel with Stand and Comb #5293 This hard plastic doll, Rhinestone, was made in the Philippines for Mattel Inc. in 1981. A series of friends of Dazzle were made with a 4 inch Barbie body and face that included Dazzle, Glossy, Spangle, Glimmer, Rhinestone, Glissen, Crystal and Diamond. 2 different faces were used, Superstar and Steffie, and they had removable clothing that could be mixed or matched, a Dazzle City, with change around rooms, and a horse named Blaze. Dressed in pink pants with a sparkly black and silver top she is in her original bubble window which includes a styling comb and doll stand on a yellow cardboard card. Marked on the back: Mattel Inc. 1981, Hawthorne, CA.90250./ Made in Philippines / Proof of Purchase #5293 / Safety-Tested. A wonderful addition to any Mattel Doll Collection.

1979 Hallmark Amelia Earhart Collectible Doll This wonderful cloth doll, Amelia Earhart, was made in Taiwan for Hallmark Cards Inc. in 1979 for their Famous American Series.
The series also included; Annie Oakley, Chief Joseph, George Washington Carver, Susan B.Anthony and an Indian Maiden. New in it's original cardboard box that has been crushed and 1 of the end flaps is torn from someone placing a heavier object on top of it she measures 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. Marked on her arm tag: Victorian Star Collection/Genuine Porcelain Doll/Limited Edition/BK Collectibles/Brass Key Inc. The Brass Key Inc., is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of branded, high-quality, handcrafted collectibles and specialty products and was founded in 1981. She is wearing a white coat with fur trim to match her fur hat with gold bow and pearl trim, the coat has lace applied with white and silver pearls for decoration over a gold skirt with white pantaloons, fish net stockings and high button shoes with 3 tiny pearls up the sides. Her light brown hair is oh so curly with greenish blue eyes, she is beautifully done and comes with her own stand. In very good + condition, she measures 17 1/2 inches and 7 1/4 inches wide. A great addition to any Porcelain Doll Collection.
