Charlie Browns Dog Snoopy Clear Glass Bank
This wonderful heavy glass bank of the famous beagle dog Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strips was made in the 1960s. I have seen others listed as being made by Anchor Hocking Glass Company but there is no factory mark on the bottom only remnants of a sticker that was once there. Charles M. Schulz, the famous cartoonist was the creator of the Peanuts Gang which included, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Linus, Pigpen, Sally Schroeder, Marcie, Rerun, Franklin, Charlie Brown and Snoopy's feathered friend Woodstock. Snoopy is an extroverted beagle who daydreams atop his doghouse regards his master, Charlie Brown, as that round headed kid who brings him his supper dish. Although he never speaks he manages to convey everything necessary in facial expressions and thought balloons. A one man show with superior intelligence and vivid imagination, he has created such multiple personalities as: Joe Cool, World War I Flying Ace, Literary Ace, Flashbeagle, Vulture, and the Foreign Legionnaire. In very good condition, without chips or cracks, he measures 5 3/4 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep. He would be a great addition to any still bank or Peanuts Character Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions contact me and thank you for looking.

This glass bottom bank with the plastic Bosco the Clown top was made by the Hazel Atlas Company. It has her mark underneath, along with the words BOSCO in the shape of a cross, using the s to cross over with. You can see the wear on the face paint and at 1 time whoever owned this bank forced the top onto the glass which made it crack and chip.
