Alabaster Pencil and Paperclip Holder w/Figurial Dog
This Art Deco alabaster desk accessory, used to hold paperclips and pencils with a figurial dog in a sitting position has no makers mark. Alabaster (sometimes called satin spar) is a name applied to varieties of two distinct minerals: gypsum (a hydrous sulfate of calcium) and calcite (a carbonate of calcium). Circa 1930's it is in very good + condition and measures 3 1/8 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/4 inches deep. A wonderful addition to any desk, dog or art deco collection. Cast Iron Scotty Dog Pen Holder/Paperweight
This vintage cast iron Scottish Terrier Dog is marked: Derby/Hershey/Conn. Made with a hole in his back to hold a pen or pencil, he's heavy enough to be used as a desk paperweight also! In very good condition without cracks some of his paint is worn from age as I have shown in my pictures and he measures 1 5/8 inches tall, 2 1/4 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. Solid Brass Double Ink Wells and Stationary
This very ornate solid brass double ink well with pen and stationary holder was made in the late 19th.Century. Exquisitely done, top to bottom, it has 3 lovely Putti (cherubs) surrounded by flowers with removable brass ink well liners. Over 100 years old it appears to be European made and is in very good + condition and measures 7 5/8 inches tall, 11 5/8 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide.
