Circa: 1967 Manufacturer: Remco Industries/Made in USA
This Spunky Pocketbook Doll Play Toy, Championship Golf Course for Spunky, Jan and Heidi was made in 1967 by Remco Industries Inc. of Harrison, New Jersey and was made and printed in the USA. Remco was a toy company founded in the 1940s that was best known for toys marketed and sold in the late 1950s and 1960s like the Johnny Reb Cannon and Mighty Matilda Atomic Aircraft Carrier. The slogan was Every Boy Wants a Remco Toy...and so do girls. Heidi was probably one of the Remco's Toy Company's most popular dolls. She was extremely popular from the mid 60s into the early 70s. Heidi was a little blonde doll standing about 5 1/2 inches tall who came with a plastic case, which was similar to Remcos TV Jones line. Heidi had a Japanese friend, whose name was Jan. Both Heidi and Jan featured a magic button on their stomachs that made them wave. In it's original box that was torn and taped most of the pieces are still attached on their plastic forms. The game comes with the following: #3089-1 Pro Shop #3089-12 Doll Stand #3089-13-14-15-16-17 and 18 Golf Green 3 marble golf balls Still attached to the form are the following: #1-2-3-4-5 and 6 Flag, 2 golf clubs (1 is loose) and 3 club wrist clips. It also comes with it's original instruction booklet. An addition to any Remco Toy Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed.
