This beautiful Precious Moments salt and pepper set of a an Angel sitting on a Cloud was made in China in 1995 for the Enesco Corporation and are both marked: 1995 / PMI and both have their Made in China foil labels.
Precious Moments, the trademark pastel-hued figurines with teardrop-shaped eyes, were created by Samuel Butcher of Missouri in 1978, with 21 figurines (Original 21). Sam Butcher was a preacher, and he based his creations on Christian values, naming each figurine based on either sayings from children, or deriving from their innocence. This company was the first step toward the phenomenal success of Sam and his Precious Moments illustrations. In 1979, Enesco Corporation transformed the artwork into porcelain bisque figurines.
Both are in very good + condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites, they look to have never been used and displayed only, and they measure 4 1/2 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep.
