This lovely child's lustre ware cereal/spice set is marked on the bottom in gold: Germany in the shape of a half moon.
White lustre ware with gold lettering and trim, this 29 piece set is in very good condition and consists of:
1-Salt Box with lid that measures 2 1/2 inches tall, 1 7/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep while the lid measures 3/4 inch high, 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep,
The salt box has a stress crack in the back which I have shown in my pictures.
1-Oil Bottle with stopper that measures 3 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches deep and the stopper measures 1 inch tall and 1/2 inch wide,
1-Vinegar Bottle with stopper that measures 3 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches deep and the stopper measures 1 inch tall and 1/2 inch wide,
6-Large Canisters with only 5 lids: Oatmeal, Coffee, Rice, Tea, Flour and Sugar, that measure 2 1/2 inches tall, 1 5/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep while the lids measure 3/4 inch tall, 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches deep,
The Sugar has a small chip on the inside rim and the Oatmeal canister has a chip on the top rim, which I have shown in my pictures.
6-Small Canisters: Cinnamon, Ginger, Pepper, Nutmeg, Allspice and Cloves that measure 1 5/8 inches tall, 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep while the lids measure 1/2 inch high, 15/126 inch wide and 7/8 inch deep.
The Cloves canister has a small chip on the inside rim.
From the 1900's, it's amazing that this dainty set has survived and must have been played with very gently and loved dearly.
Still a rare vintage set that would be an addition to any Child's Room or Miniature Collection.
