Mr Peanut Planters Tin Antique Ad Advertising Tin 1941 This is a very old Planters Mr Peanut Tin from 1941. Written on the front, Guaranteed Absolutely Pure By The Planters Peanut And Chocolate Co. It shows the original Mr. Peanut on the front left side inside the outline of the Planters Pennant. Also says Reg. US Patent Off. It is a 10 lb. empty tin. Besides being an old original, the color graphics on it are fantastic. It is dark blue with a gorgeous old light aqua metallic blue inset. The bordor is a rosey red surrounding the dark blue print. Old colors. You can easily read everthing written on it. Excellent condition for its age. The back gives facts about Planters and states they have been in business for 25 years. Mr. Peanut was developed in 1916 from a sketch sent in by an Virginia school boy. That would date this tin at 1941. A real collectors item. It measures 9 3/4 in tall x 8 3/4 in diameter.
