| This is a very unusual Figural Powder Box that has some age to it. Raised Bamboo design around the base. Beautifully decorated with a Geisha Girl holding a Bird Cage on the top. She has a lovely face and the entire piece appears to be handpainted. It is near mint. There is a tiny old hairline on the underside of the lid that does not show from the top, nor is it in any danger of expanding. Her head is securely in place, but may have been glued and touched up as there is black paint around her neck, but blends perfectly with the overall look and is not at all noticeable. We only realized it by looking at it with a magnifying glass and saw a tiny paint splash on her neck. Its character and overall look Displays beautifully. |
