These Old Chalkware Banks were manufactured by Duquense in Pittsburgh, Pa during the late 1940-1950s. This one was manufactured in 1956 and is marked. They are very hard to find without damage as you had to break them to get your Savings out. This one has not been broken and we would say is in near Mint condition. We purchased him with a nick behind his right ear from the rear view, but we have repaired it and painted over it in matching colors. We doubt you would have noticed had we not disclosed, but feel it is only fair to note the repair. See photo.

He is bright and colorful and has the great vintage sought after look with old paint coloring. Makes a fantastic display piece for decorating or addition to a collection.
We smile every time we walk by and look at him....he is so cute and reminds us of days gone by. Great Collectible. |
