In the Meissen style, this antique German porcelain figurial candlestick is in the form of a Putti (small boy)resting on a rockwork seat and lifting a draped flower form candle holder; the oval base with gilt C-scrolls and applied wildflowers and leaves. Base bears the variant mark of the Alfred Voigt/ Sitzendorf factory, and dates from ca. 1884-1896. CONDITION: very good condition, chips to applied flowers on base, loss of enamel at very top of candle cup |
