This is the hard to come by large model of the Royal Doulton Character Jug 'Old Lad'. The back of the jug has the words John Barleycorn Old Lad. The bottom of the jug has the Royal Doulton imprint with the lion over the crest and the words made in England. Nice early piece in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 6.75 inches to the top of the handle.
