This cast iron match strike is quite large measuring 9 inches in length and 6.5 inches across it's widest point. It is very heavy weighing 2.5 pounds. The design of oak leaves and acorns surround a bull's head. I don't think this is very old, but it is a quality piece which will be an accent point on your fireplace.
