Manufacturer: unknown
Carpet balls were developed during the reign of Queen Victoria--1832-1901--as a game to be played in the parlor. This antique carpet ball or carpet bowl has an usual green and red speckled design. The carpet ball is about 3.5 inches in diameter and is quite heavy. The condition is good with the usual tiny circle dents where the ball has been hit hard. Original balls are very hard to find and this one is a unique design and in good condition for its age and use. |
