Manufacturer: Morton Potteries
This handled vase was produced by Morton Potteries circa 1940 – 1960s. The basic coloring of the vase is a very light green and it has a wonderful embossed pink mauve floral sprig that looks like they could be roses. The lower half has a nice texture to it that reminds us of grass. It is approximately 5.37 inches tall and in good condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. On the handle that we show in the picture is a repair that was made by the manufacturer and then glazed and fired, so the handle is solid. For some unknown reason there are a few dark specks of glaze on the inside of this piece. This line of pottery from Morton Potteries over the years has been referred as to Poor Man’s Roseville since the styling and coloring is slightly similar to Roseville. |
