Circa: 1920s Manufacturer: Lancaster Glass
Lancaster Glass produced this wonderful Carnival glass rose bowl in the pattern known as Optic Ray circa late 1920s – early 1930s. This rose bowl has a beautiful coloring both inside and out that can’t be captured in pictures. This bowl is approximately 2.50 tall and 5.25 inches in diameter at the widest point and the base is 2.87 inches in diameter. There is a pin point size flake to small for pictures along with the expected tableware to the base where it meets the table. It also has the usual manufacturing defects of the time of a straw mark inside the bowls bottom to up the side but better seen from the outside, and some pin point inclusion bubbles. The way the color is reflected it reminds me of a peacock. |
