Published by Viking, 1990, 62pp. A quirky, tender and truly original love story with a plot that will delight and amaze, invloving as it does a cryptic riddle and 140 tortoises of all sizes. The book is in verygood+ condition with just slight edge wear to the DJ.

 

The Adventure Boys & The Valley of Diamonds by Ames Thompson, frontispiece illustrated by Ernest Townsend which has an ink mark on the picture that has bled on to the title page. First edition published by Cupples & Leon Co, NY, 1927, hard cover, 211 pp. Clean copy in good condition.. Pages have slightly yellowed and some have dog ears Front end paper inscribed with former owners name. Sans DJ . Front board has an abrasion and the back board a stain.

I believe that this was the first in the Adventure Boys series.
