1510wbwt

Wileman Foley Shape Blue & White Trio A Wileman, pre Shelley trio in a Blue and White transfer design. The trio bears no pattern number, so I am unable to advise the pattern name and can only state that appears to be Shelley's attempt to replicate the flow blue designs that were so popular around the turn of the century.

The cup shape is Foley, named after the factories location here in Staffordshire. Not a common shape and this is the first time i have had one in my possession.
The item carries the Wileman 1890-1910 backstamp.

The item is offered in excellent condition.

Maximum Air Mail shipping of $25.00 dependant on destination. OPTIONAL insurance for Loss and non-delivery is available for a further $8.00.

Click for more detail...

1299wecc

Wileman Empire Shape Cream Jug Chrysanthemum A stunning, Victorian example of fine bone china in the form of an Empire shape cream jug, produced by Wileman and Co.
The jug is decorated in the yellow version of the Chrysanthemum pattern, 6892, first introduced in 1895.

The condition is very good, although there is a small area of bad firing at the top of the handle, where the gilding has not taken and therefore appears purplish in colouration. This can be quite common with early examples of Wileman pottery and can be seen in the close up image of the handle.
Otherwise, there are no cracks or chips and the item is very clean and unused in appearance.

Maximum Air Mail shipping of $15.00, dependant on destination. Optional Tracking and insurance is available for a further $8.00.

Click for more detail...

9699wnsfv

Wileman Faience Norfolk Scenes Handled Vase 1898 An extremely rare Wileman Faience Vase in the Norfolk Scenes design.

This is a fine example of the Faience designs, created under the Stewardship of Frederick Alfred Rhead, father of Charlotte and Frederick Hurten, during his spell as Art Director at the end of the 19th century.

The design, Norfolk Scenes, one of the most popular and sought after of the Faience range, features a Landscape scene of a Windmill to one side, with sailing vessels to the other. The decoration is in tones of greens, browns and creams, which are typical of a lot of the designs of the period.

The Vase is of Bulbous form, finished with six moulded handles around the neck. It stands at approximately 13cms tall, with a maximum diameter of around 16cms.

Considering it's age, the item is offered in Very Good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. These items are very susceptible to paint rubbing, so I suspect there may have been a little touching up here and there, but this has only served to add to the beauty and condition of the item.
With only minor, normally associated crazing, the item is a superb example of this rare design and perfect for the serious Shelley or Wileman collector.

Maximum Air Mail shipping of $35.00. OPTIONAL insurance is available for a further $10.00.

The trio is decorated in the Violet Border Print design, green version, with gilded trims and is offered in EXCELLENT condition, minimal wear to trims mentioned for accuracy, but no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some crazing to the plate, which again is mentioned for accuracy and not at all detracting.

The pattern is Green Ivy print, 4922, and is finished with gilded trims.

Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration.
As is often the case with these items, there is minor wear to the gilding and a few specks of kiln firing dust, but these are not of great concern and mentioned purely for accuracy.

1957wat

Wileman Victorian Alexandra Trio c1887 pre Shelley Excellent Wileman pre Shelley China Trio in the fluted, Quatrefoil Shape known as Alexandra.

The pattern number 3730 is recorded in Literature as Japan but is most certainly a decoration of Cornflowers with elements of Hand Painting and Gilding.

All three pieces are in remarkably good condition considering the age of the items which carry the backstamp for the period 1872-1890.
Each item is offered in excellent, clean condition and totally free of damage and restoration. The pattern is crisp and strong against fine white, unstained china and only some gilding loss is noted to the centre of the plate and ever so slightly to the trims. SUPERB for an item of this age.

MAXIMUM Shipping of $28.00 dependant on destination. Tracking and insurance for Loss and Non- Delivery is available for a further $8.00.

400wedt

Wileman Empire Shape Daisies Trio A Wileman Trio in the Empire shape and decorated with the hand enamelled Daisies design, 9339, first introduced in 1901.
Red and Gold enamelled Daisies over a pale Blue transfer, set against a white ground.

The Trio is in execellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. On the inside base of the cup there are a couple of extremely feint lines, but they do not appear on the outside of the cup and it is my belief that they are merely crazing (Glaze cracking) lines. The cup actually reatins an elemet of PING, which is quite unusual with Wileman pieces.
