Chameleon Ware - George Clews & Co

Chameleon ware was produced by George Clews & Co, Brownhills Pottery, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Original, dribble glaze Art Pottery from around 1906 which developed from around the 1920's in to the Art Deco designs so popular with collectors today for their range of colours against contrasting sponged grounds.

George Clews Chameleon Ware Blue Flame Art Deco Vase Standing 8.00 inches tall, 3.75 inches at the widest point, a Chameleon Ware Art Deco Vase by George Clews, Tunstall in the Darke Blue Flame design.

Typical of the period, 1920-30s, the Vase is brightly coloured and decorated with earthy, geometric designs against a contrasting Dark Blue background.

The item is offered in excellent, clean condition with only very mild age related crazing.

George Clews Chameleon Ware Pot Stunning little Chameleon Ware Art Deco pot from George Clews & Co., Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This fabulous little pot dates from the 1920's-1930's and is decorated in the design affectionately known to Collectors as "Mae West" because of the charming similarity of the leaf decoration to a pair of pouting lips. Absolutely No chips, cracks or wear to pattern on this vibrant little Staffordshire Decorative Art Pottery bowl. GORGEOUS little cabinet filler.
