A large and impressive piece of "poor man's Moorcroft" from the Colclough & Co factory of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
The Vase is in their Jacobean Ware range and decorated in the Clematis design and typifies the rich colours of British Art pottery designs of the Art Deco years of the 1920-30's.
Hand Painted Clematis Flowers of Blue and Mauve are offset against a stunning, high gloss, rich Cobalt Blue Ground to create an impressive, tapering formed vase standing some 8.1/2" Tall and 4" at the base.
With NO cracks, chips or even noticeable wear to the brilliant and rich glaze, the vase is offered in EXCELLENT condition.
