Manufacturer: Colclough & Co - Royal Stanley A Fabulous and EXTREMELY RARE Tubelined Jacobean Ware Vase from Colclough and Co. of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. The item is from their Royal Stanley range and dates to c1903-1919 when the company produced the range as competition for the better known William Moorcroft designs. In fact, Such pieces were often referred to as Poor Man's Moorcroft. Beautiful Tube lined and entirely hand painted Fruits and foliage cover the entire vase which stands at 7.1/4 inches tall x 4 inches at the widest point. The Vase is of wonderful shape with an elegant flared neck and bulbous base. Colours are Typical of this Art pottery period with Cobalt Blues, Purples, Ochres and Greens reminiscent of Pottery of the Art Deco period all lovingly decorated on the solid, Red Clay ware.

The Condition is absolutely wonderful and I can find no evidence of cracks, chips, repairs or ware to pattern and even no real signs of the usual age related crazing. It really is a SUPERB example for a piece of this age. The base of the vase has also been glazed over with Cobalt colour and the Royal Stanley Backstamp for 1903-1919 is present as shown in the must see extra photos.
