Trolley car transferware shaving mug *NM
Shaving mugs were individually designed for each customer of a barber. Some were imprinted with the customer’s initials or name; some showed his occupation. This contemporary mug (I believe it is not very old), which was obviously meant for a trolley car conductor, brings back the nostalgia of those days when trolley cars were commonplace. Measures 3 7/8 inches tall. Very nice condition: gold is near perfect; a superficial glaze crack is noted at the front. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #362

Crown Staffordshire: 3 gamebird plates w gold
Originally a set of 4, the 3 remaining plates command attention on their own, with their vividly colored, life-like renderings of the game birds! Measuring 5 ¼" square with a gold edge, there is no damage. Marked: Crown Staffordshire, England, Est 1801, under each plate. I identified the birds as best I could, & came up with: Gray Partridge, Ring-Necked Pheasant, & Blue Grouse (?). Wedgwood: Early Footed egg cup Peter Rabbit c 1953
This adorable child’s cream colored egg cup has Beatrix Potter’s "Benjamin Bunny" on one side, & "Tom Kitten" on the other. Under the base is printed: "Peter Rabbit Wedgwood." Condition is *Mint. The following information that I have on this piece came from the Wedgwood Museum: The Peter Rabbit (Beatrix Potter) series was begun in 1949. This particular eggcup is one of the earliest pieces, dating to about 1953 (best guess). Apparently it may have had a very limited production, since it is only rarely found. The Wedgwood Museum was unable to provide a photo of this piece! Even a large online replacement service has seen only one teapot! Height is 2 1/8" x 1 7/8" across the top. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #275

TEAPOT salts, Royal Stuart white w blue rosebuds *cute
This is a pair of glazed china salt & pepper shakers in the shape of a teapot. They are white with delicately embossed flowers at the shoulders, a stamped blue rosebud on each side, & painted gold trim on the top, handles & under the spouts. Very cute. One has 2 holes on top; one has 4 holes. Underneath are stamped in gold: Royal Stuart, Bone China, Made in England, and R81008. The latter I believe means the year of manufacture was c 1937. Height to tip of spout is 1 ½". There is no damage, no crazing, chips, or discolorations. The gold is all intact, although it is not well seen in some of the photos. There are plastic plugs in the holes under the base. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 1 lbs. from 06068. #120-A
