Coralene style mauve/white vase w beaded pale yellow coral design
Attractive satin finish, mauvey pink & white over a white interior layer, this 6" tall vase gleams when the light hits the glass beads which form the figural coral sprays. Manufacturer ground top; no pontil mark. I suspect that this may be an older repro, but it is not my area of expertise. No chips or cracks; one small area where someone attempted gold paint (see photos); several areas where small amounts of beads are missing. A very unusual vase in pretty colors, which presents well overall. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #246

4 Skruf Kungsholm clear smoke w white foot ice tea goblets
Super mint set of 4 iced tea or parfait (?) goblets by Swedish maker Skruf in the pattern shape of Kungsholm. Goblets are a faint gray clear leaded glass, with a white foot & short white 5-lobed stem. I believe this pattern was made as early as 1930’s, but this color combination suggests a later era, perhaps 1960-70’s? Measure 6 1/8" tall; 3 ½" across the top. No damage. Hand blown 2 pieces in pale green & teal green
First piece is a pale almost apple green with a hint of amber, vase, measuring 5 ¼" tall. It is nicely made with an in-folded upper rim which is gauffered into 3 lobes. There is a rough pontil which appears to have been fire polished; lots of tiny bubbles, some base wear; no damage. The 2nd might be a small whiskey taster (?) in a clear pale teal green. It has a simple rim with one small flea bite, a rough pontil; measures 1 7/8" tall x 2 ¼" wide at the top. Age on both is undetermined. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2lbs. from 06068. #172

Depression era: Czech perfume bottle with Sterling salt top
Originally made in Czechoslovakia in 1920-30’s era, this clear & frosted glass bottle was most likely an atomizer! I could not find this particular design of frosted roses, alternating with clear panels, in a reference, but the shape & style are seen in books which show Czech vanity items. Although unmarked, I have seen larger items of the exact same pattern with the Czech acid mark under the base! I got this piece as shown, with a sterling silver salt shaker lid, stamped UK, lid marks indicating 1838-1890. The lid slips onto the top, although there is threading. Obviously a marriage, the match is quite functional until the atomizer status can be restored. I leave that to the buyer. Height of bottle alone is 2 7/8"; height with lid is 3 ¾". There is a manufacturer ground base & top; 1 chip at the base & a few small nicks. The lid is slightly depressed on one side, but it has a very elegant sterling design in its own right. EAPG pink cracker jar, FLORETTE or QUILT, Coop Flint c 1894
A pretty azalea pink cracker jar in the pattern, Florette. Jar is triple layered with a white interior, pink, then clear satin finished. Originally made by Consolidated Lamp & Glass co, c 1894, design is also known as Quilt. These are not commonly seen, particularly with the original glass lid intact! Measures 6 ½" tall x about 6" wide. Overall, very good condition with only tiny dings along the manufacturer ground edges of the top & base, one shallow flake inside the lid, and a smudge or 2 on the surface. The lid flake has removed the 2 colors of the glass, but could easily be camouflaged with some nail polish since it does not extend very deeply (see close-up photos). Otherwise, jar displays well. Small unbroken bubbles are seen in the surface of the glass, related to manufacture. Color is truest in the full photo. #113 Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 5 lbs. from 06068

Fenton for DeVilbiss: Leaf pattern white opal perfume bottle
This French white opalescent perfume bottle with original stopper was made by Fenton for DeVilbiss in 1941, & again in 1949. It matches an atomizer which has the same base pattern, but I’ve been told that the perfume is more desirable. Aka Panache, a name given to it by Heacock before its proper ID was determined. In good light, edges show a fiery opalescence. Height is 4 ½". Nice condition except for what looks like a repaired chip on one shoulder. Cute Free-blown clear-cased Speckled multicolored basket
Rich burgundy, orange-red, sea & dark blue, yellow, & white speckles of color in the glass enliven this small hand made basket. The body is encased in a clear layer; the decorated handle & 4 applied feet are also clear. There is a scalloped gauffered rim and a thick rough pontil. Age & manufacturer are not known. Italian or Czech origin of mid-20th century is suspected, although occasionally American makers produced similar items. No damage. Art: Dorothy Thorpe leaded vase: seaweed design
Lovely Dorothy Thorpe sandblasted vase with a seaweed design of various texture. Glass vase is leaded; measures 9 5/8" tall x 4 5/8" wide at the top. Marked under the base (see photos), there is considerable base wear consistent with age, & one tiny flea bite at the top inside; one small bubble. Dorothy Thorpe functioned as an artist in glass from 1930’s-1950’s. She used blanks from quality makers such as Heisey, Cambridge, & Tiffin. She died in 1989, leaving us her legacy of distinct, exquisite, sand-blasted Eames era designs. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #365

Sparkling Orrefors Ltd edition crystal Liberty Tree plate c 1976
"The Liberty Tree" is the Franklin Mint’s first limited edition lead crystal plate, hand-crafted by Orrefors artisans in Sweden. Originally retailing for $230, plate measures 10 ¼" in diameter, with a soft frosted intaglio center design by artist Gilroy Roberts. Motto around design: "Beneath the boughs of liberty tree- where met the sons of liberty." Signed in the right lower corner with initials GR, and with a subtle mark "1976 Orrefors Sweden," seen on the lower marie (edge which rests on the table) when held at a certain angle…very easy to miss it! Minor surface scratches under the base, but otherwise in excellent condition. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 6 lbs. from 06068. #439

Pressed: Lemon pudding vaseline basket applied handle *Mint
Lemon pudding best describes this pretty yellow basket. It has an overall diamond pattern, appears to be pressed with an applied handle. The scalloped foot has 5 black marks on either side. These are consistent with a manufacture technique using "snaps," metal holders for working on glass when hot. There is a 20 point star under the foot. Measures about 7 ½" tall x 6 3/8" long s 5" wide. No after-market damage; no chips or cracks. I could not find this in my references. However, Measell, in Imperial Glass, vol. 1, pg 72, states that throughout its history, Imperial made a lot of pressed baskets with applied handles! Certainly not proof, but a good suggestion for beginning a search if you collect baskets or vaseline, OR glass which looks like it belongs in a pie! A delicate copper wheel engraving makes this late blown bulb forcing jar extremely desirable. Made by various companies & engraved by many more, exact maker/engraver is unknown. EAPG era: Amberina swirl cologne w OS polished pontil *Mint
Stunning amberina cologne in a blown swirl pattern, has a polished pontil & the original stopper. The air-trap stopper is cased in clear, but I can’t tell if the bottle is cased also. Manufacturer is unknown, but this is stylistically very similar to a Baccarat cologne, c 1870’s, save for the shape of the stopper! *Mint condition with no damage, measures 6 ¼" tall with stopper. EAPG: Rev Amberina quilted decanter polished pontil c 1880’s
Normally amberina glass is red at the ends (top, handles) where fire-polishing or reheating is most likely, with the rest being a yellow to warm amber color. This decanter is reversed: the red is at the bottom. Although I could not pin down a manufacturer, the blown into mold diamond quilted design, with a polished pontil, places the decanter in the 1880’s period. (Amberina itself was patented in 1883 by Jos. Locke, who assigned it to Libbey). The reverse color was obtained by flashing a layer of red glass over amber, avoiding the need for heat color sensitivity as was required for amberina. Height of the bottle is 9 ½"; height with the stopper is 12". Stopper fits well, but does not seem appropriate in color to the design. It is, however, as I obtained it! There are no chips or cracks, but light scratches of the red area are noted, as well as many small gray stains inside the bottle. (Color is truest in the pattern close-up photo). EAPG: Sandwich etched gas lampshade Torch & Wreath
Shown in Boston & Sandwich Glass by Barlow & Kaiser, pg 151, #2 under photo 2238, this gas era lampshade is said to be by Sandwich Glass with Gillinder etch; truly a nice combination by 2 giants of early glass; c 1880-1908. Design is a torch & wreath, with 12 scallops on the upper edge; suited for "earlier gas globes with small fitters," said to be hard to find. Height is 4 1/8". The rim is about 2 ¼". There is some roughness along the inner part of the fitter rim, but I believe that this is from manufacture since this area would not be seen with the shade in place. Other than a few rust spots along the fitter line, there is no damage. I’ve seen these in Victorian homes/museums. Obviously this is part of a set, but I don’t expect to be able to accumulate many more myself. So it’s here for anyone who has others to match or wants a spare.
