Painted milk glass: Swirl white glass candlestick pair
Originally made by McKee Glass as the pattern Ray, this particular set of 2 milkglass, milk glass, candlesticks is quite lovely with delicate hand-painted pink & green flowers, which follow along the swirls of the pattern. The 3 knobs under the base identify the set as a later, more contemporary Kemple product. Measure 8" tall. Other than some wear of the painted areas, & minor roughness along the lower edge mold line, there is no damage, no chips or cracks. A nicely done copy of a classic early pattern, obviously still popular today. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 6 lbs. from 06068. #379

Depression: Early Fenton Dolphin handled candle dish
This unusual candle holder is in the shape of a boat, with the candle cup in the center. The main pattern is of alternating panels of relief wavy seaweed & frosted straight seaweed. There are 2 tiny dolphin handles on either end. Made by Fenton no. 1621, in 1928-36, there is a manufacturer ground base. A subtle crack in one side of one handle where the dolphin attaches is difficult to see. I tried to picture it, but only by turning the piece over & at different angles can one get the suggestion of a crack. I’m not even sure if this piece didn’t come from the factory that way! Measures 6 ½" long x 4 1/8" wide x 2 ¾" tall. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #357

Art: Mercury silvered candlestick grape & leaves etch
I love these old silvered items; they are so unusual. A mercury concoction was swished around inside the hollow blown candlestick to make the glass look like real silver. It was then sealed to protect the interior coating from deterioration. When I got this stick, the hole on the bottom was open. So there is some deterioration of the silvering at the base (looks speckly); not really bad considering its age. I put in a make-do cork to prevent further damage. But the cork sticks out a bit, allowing for some tippiness on the table…it should be replaced. Otherwise in super condition, with no chips or cracks. Measures 7 ½" tall; there is an ornate grapes & leaves double (!) etching from top to bottom. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #423
