Imperial: Candlewick with Lily of the Valley cutting *old one
Candlewick was one of Imperial’s largest lines, the pattern made over a long period, c 1936-84. The pieces with cuttings, like this one, however, were earlier, around the 1930’s-40’s. This is a gray cutting design of Lily of the Valley, not an etch. Measures 10" across the plate; 11 ½" across the handles. Does show some surface use scratches, most obvious in bright light, or on a dark background like my photos! On a white cloth, the dish looks quite lovely. Duncan: Spectacular Caribbean punch set RED hndles 15 pcs complt
This is a gorgeous, complete punch set by Duncan Glass, made 1936-53. The pattern, reminiscent of ocean waves, is clear with red handles. There is an 18" underplate, a wide deep punch bowl just under 11" diameter, a matching patterned ladle with a *red handle, & 12 cups with red handles. All bases are manufacturer ground. All handles are applied! There is a subtle chip under one cup, some very minor surface scratches, & a pot-stone in the ladle, consistent with method of manufacture. Basically, you’d really have to look carefully to see any signs of use on this hard to find complete set! The large picture is from Pina's book, Duncan Glass, pg 70; the 2nd is of the actual ladle, which is the less commonly seen red handled ladle; the others are of one of the cups. The set is very heavy. I have the set in Northwest CT. Come pick it up or email me to see what we can work out. #111-A

Depression: Rock Crystal tall covered candy
Although considered a Depression era pattern (c 1922-31), this design has been seen in earlier pieces. The earlier pieces show shear lines and other findings characteristic of a more primitive method of production. This particular 10 ½" tall covered candy dish has a shear line in the lid! Wonderfully clear glass with 2 subtle chips on the foot: one under, one on top (see photos). Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #312

Marked under the base (see photos), there is considerable base wear consistent with age, & one tiny flea bite at the top inside; one small bubble.
