EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass) is my passion. I study & collect EAPG. Sometimes an interesting Depression or foreign glass piece will catch my eye; some items in other materials such as silver, pewter, or pottery can appear here too...thus the "plus." The Victorian period is so fascinating, & in many ways mirrors our lives today.
I rotate pieces as I grow in knowledge or if I think you'd appreciate them more than me. And since this wonder of superheated sand (glass) continues to take over my “space,” I’ve always got some to offer: why not finish off your authentic decor with period glassware? Feel free to ask questions or inquire about wanted items which might not be listed.
Be sure to check back for new additions & an occasional “Rarest of the Rare” in EAPG. Some of these pieces have been documented, but are so uncommon that they’ve rarely or never been photographed for publication!
Everything is clean with meticulous descriptions of condition, & I package well. See ebay feedback for ger55.
Thanks,
Ger |

EAPG: Greentown Cord Drapery dome lid only
I believe that this may be the large cheese dome lid (only) in the pattern, Cord Drapery, by Greentown Glass, c 1899-1903, later Indiana Glass #350. This is larger & different from the butter, requiring a flat underplate with upturned edges (see Hilton, pg. 82). Measures 6 3/8" wide x 5" tall. Unfortunately, the cheese dish is so rare in this pattern, that no one (so far), has been able to verify what the edge of the cheese lid actually looks like! I do know that the base of the cheese dish is 7" across, and that allowing for a bit of clearance on either side, this lid would fit quite well and has the correct shape for a cheese. It has a small notch under the edge...an unusual piece! Bright, brilliant, with no chips or cracks. Some brown staining of unknown origin is noted around the neck of the finial at the high areas of the design. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #393

Victorian era: Very unusual vaseline Parrot figural tray
I could find no reference to this very unusual vaseline figural Parrot tray or plate. I can tell you that it is probably quite old since there is a shearline & fine stress lines, consistent with EAPG era production! Glows brightly under UV; a beautiful pale yellow which almost glows even without UV in its thicker parts. Measures 8 ¾" long x 5 ½" wide x 1 ½" tall. There are a lot of chips under the base (marie) & a few on the edges. However, this appears to be a relatively early piece, well-made with nice detail, & possibly unique. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 3 lbs. from 06068. #377

EAPG: Green child’s table set Cambridge’s Fernland c 1907
Fernland, OMN, no. 2635, aka Snowflake, is a pattern by Cambridge Glass Co., c 1907. This is a complete child’s table set, including butter with lid, sugar with lid, creamer, & spooner. Spooner height is 2 ¼" with the other pieces being proportional. Spooner is also listed in toothpick books, with a value of $45 for a clear one in Bredehoft’s book! This pattern, in this color, is not often seen. In addition, being a child’s toy, intended for real play, one may forgive some damage to all pieces, as follows. Butter has a large broken bubble on the inner rim of the base, with the lid intact; sugar lid is ok, but several scallop chips on base; spooner fairly good with a number of small chips & nicks to the un-fire-polished edges; creamer is the worst, having a large chip with crack at the handle, & a large chip with missing beads at the spout. *The tray, which is an amber D&B butter underplate, is NOT included. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation, 4 lbs. from 06068. #397

EAPG: 2 Rare Heisey tumblers Daisy & Leaves c 1911
2 early Heisey glass tumblers in the pattern Daisy and Leaves, no. 427, c 1911-1913. Said to be "rare" (see Bredehoft), both tumblers are marked with the Diamond H. BV in 2001 was $125 each! Both have a manufacturer ground base & measure 3 ¾" tall. One tumbler is near-mint, with very minimal signs of wear; one has a few small flakes under the base. Glass is clear & bright with a sharp press; tumblers are not crooked, but look that way due to the way they were photographed. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation,4 lbs. from 06068. #442

EAPG: Green w gold REWARD pattern butter *Rare
This Riverside Glass butter dish, c 1901, is mentioned in Gorham’s Riverside Glass book, but there is no photo in this color. Any item in this pattern in the color green is said to be "very rare." This dome butter dish is emerald green with gold trim. The trim is fairly good around the lower edge of the lid, but only about 30% remains on the finial & just a bit remains on the the beaded edges of the base. There are 2 flat edge base chips, shown in 2 views: from the top & the bottom; they are fairly close together. There is a chip on the inner rim of the base. The lid is without damage. Ht is 5 ½" x 7 ¼" wide at the base. This butter is extremely rare & has not been previously photographed for publication. Buyer to pay $25 for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, & insurance. #CCC

EAPG: very rare Cobalt BLUE Cord Drapery dish
Said to be "very rare" (Hilton, Greentown Glass), this cobalt blue flat dish is in the pattern Cord Drapery by Indiana Tumbler no. 350-Indiana, c 1901. Measurements are as follows: outer rim: 6 ½"; inner rim 4 ¾"; height 1 1/8". I could not identify anything exactly in this size in my references. But, of 2 butters mentioned, one is said to be 4 ¾", and I believe that this might be the small butter base, OR just a small dish! Condition is fair: there are numerous small chips on the edge scallops, 2 flakes on the top edge, 3 shallow flakes on the inner rim, stress lines & some light surface scratches in the middle base. No damage to the 6 little scallop feet or within the main areas of the design, & no cracks. Please look at photos…the damaged areas are not jump-out-at-you until you really start examining closely, simply because the color is so striking…almost a purple cobalt blue. It’s a super color which is slightly different between photos because of lighting. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, 2 lbs. from 06068. #257

EAPG: Chocolate MAJESTIC jelly compote *Rare
Made by McKee while in the National Glass combine, c 1897, this jelly compote is said to be the only item in the pattern Majestic made in chocolate glass (see Hilton pg. 116). Said to be "very rare," this is another item that has been documented, but not photographed in the most recent Greentown books due to its rarity! Not fire polished at the top, there are scattered small nips of the edge. The worst is shown in a close-up. It is otherwise in great condition; wafer construction also shown in a close-up. A rare little chocolate glass treasure, one of the few not made by Indiana Glass & Tumbler! Measures 5 ¼" wide x 5 3/8" tall. Buyer to pay $25 for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation & insurance. #BBB

EAPG: Vaseline PLEAT & PANEL plate *Rare
A 7" octagonal plate in the pattern Pleat and Panel, made by Bryce Bros. c 1882, & later US Glass 1891. This plate is said to be "very rare" in any color (Jenks pg. 363), and this one is vaseline! (see Peterson, pg. 27) This is another rare item which has been documented but not photographed for publication due to its rarity. There is shear line in the central area, along with some minor surface wear in the center. Good base wear is consistent with age. Glowing a bright yellow under UV light, there are no chips or cracks. Buyer to pay $15 for shipping by USPS Priority, with Delivery Confirmation & insurance. #AAA
